Department of Radiation Oncology
|
The Department of Radiation Oncology offers state-of-the-art treatment for cancer
patients including a complete clinical evaluation, staging, individualized radiation
therapy and follow-up care. We are equipped with a simulator, two eleckta dual energy
Linear accelerators with multi leaf collimators a treatment and verify system as
well as an ADAC treatment planning system. The department also includes a High dose
rate brachytherapy treatment unit capable of delivering intra-cavitary, endo-luminal
and interstitial brachytherapy treatments.
Other activities include performance improvement, health physics support, treatment
planning, technical quality control, staff continuing education and research.
